Introduction
Use apps faster with Universal Launcher
What is Universal Launcher?
Universal Launcher is an app launcher with a command line user experience similar to that of Alfred for Mac or MacOS’s native Spotlight launcher (if you’re on a Mac and you don’t know what this is, hit cmd + space ). Beyond opening apps, Universal Launcher lets (even non-technical) users configure and execute keyword shortcuts for performing common actions with their apps without needing to expend valuable attention on navigating diverse graphical user interfaces with their mouse.
What makes it “Universal”?
Unlike other popular app launchers, Universal Launcher is designed to work on any operating system (mainly so that users like ourselves are never left without access to their trusty shortcuts!). Currently, we support Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android.
What can you do with it?
- Launch apps and run shortcuts from one keystroke:
⌘ + Spaceon Mac,Ctrl + Spaceon Windows. - Install plugins for the tools you already use: Slack, Notion, Linear, Google Drive, Spotify, GitHub, and dozens more.
- Build your own shortcuts so the actions you repeat all day become a single keyword. Learn how in Shortcuts.
- Share shortcuts with teammates so a workflow you perfect once works for everyone. See Share Shortcuts.
- Track your momentum with My Stats: your commands run, shortcuts created, and how much of UL you’ve unlocked.
